My first arrival in St Pölten as a ESC Volunteer

A new beginning, and warmth welcome from Jugend:Info NÖ

Arriving in Saint Pölten, Austria for European Solidarity Corps volunteer project at Jugend Info: NÖ was a cup of mix filled out with both curiosity and excitement. As train pulled out in station, I could feel that new chapter unfolding for me.

From the first day I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by the fellow team and I quickly realized that this experience will not be only professional but also a journey of cultural exchange and personal development. There kindness eased any initial nerves I may have. My involvement with Jugend organization came as a dynamic initiative that empowers young people through volunteering, cultural and study exchange and social engagement. Starting my project it was a bit difficult and confuse but after I took the first task, shared the goals, created a new circle of friendship, and through mutual learning and support by the team everything was settle down in right way as a first work experience outside my country.

As environmental engineer the first thing that catch my eyes was the public transport especially trains were quite fast, mostly the people prefer to used it more than personal cars which give a quite help to environmental and put the city into smart green cities in Europe. Saint Pölten is blend of the historical architecture and modern vibrancy, clubs, cinema and green spaces which offered a perfect setting for young people out there.

Being part of this network not only allowed me to be part and contribute to meaningful causes but also learn from diverse backgrounds This is just in beginning but I am pretty sure it will be unforgettable, and very value experience for me as volunteer.
